Our Pastor
On July 1, 2020 Grace Church welcomed Chris Pettit as our Pastor. Chris came to us from Campus Ministries at Camp Pecometh in Centreville. His last church appointment was Centreville UMC. Chris serves as a Provisional Elder in the Peninsula-Delaware Conference.
Pastor Chris is an Eastern Shore native born and raised in Snow Hill, Maryland where he graduated from Snow Hill High in 1985 and went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Frostburg State University. Chris was called into pastoral ministry in 2009 where his first appointment was the Royal Oak Community UMC in Talbot County. He earned a Master's in Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky in May 2016.
Pastor Chris is happily married to wife, Krista and has two children, Rachel and John.
Pastor Chris has a desire to lead our congregation in fulfilling the mission that Christ gave us, "...Go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:19-20.)
